Frequently Asked Questions

We love connecting with our customers. We have included answers to some of our most frequently asked questions here. If your question is not answered by our FAQ please drop us a note in the form below!

  • Yes! We can only accept returned jars at our farmers market locations, not grocery stores or other retailers. Please wash out your jar and if possible, leave the label intact. Thank you!

  • All of our products contain vat pasteurized milk, meaning that it is heated to a low temperature and held at that temperature for 30 minutes. We find that this method preserves the flavor and digestibility of our milk, while extending shelf life and eliminating any potential pathogens that may be present.

  • While we are not certified organic, we use organic-style farming practices. All of our animals are rotationally grazed for 6+ months of the year. We use no pesticides or growth hormones. Like all milk in the United States, our milk is required by law to be free from antibiotics.

  • Animal welfare is our highest priority. We are proud of the longevity in our herd, with some animals living to 16 or 17 years. We have a closed herd, which means our cattle live their entire lives in our care. Our animals have free-choice access to fresh feed, bedding, water, and pasture during the summer months. They also have free-choice access to a robotic milking system and a cow brush, which they use at their leisure. Our farm is regularly inspected and certified by a third-party veterinarian through the FARM program to ensure that we are meeting the highest standards of animal welfare.
